The William Vanderhorst House (Postmaster Bacot House), circa 1740

“Constructed circa 1740 by William Vanderhorst, this three story stuccoed masonry structure is considered one of the earliest examples of a Charleston single house. A notable aspect of the building is the absence of a piazza, a development found in single houses of a later period.”
